Things to consider before choosing a forex broker

If you want to make in the Forex market, there are a series of basic steps you have to follow. Educate yourself, learn from your mistakes, be constant, and of course, find a good broker.

Do not get us wrong. Nobody is saying that a good broker will make you rich even if you are an horrible trader, but hell it will make your way much smoother in that direction.

At FortFS we try to be impartial. That means, we want to tell you straight forward which are the key criteria you should apply to find the best Forex broker for you. Maybe that would be us. Maybe not. The decision is up to you. Take a look at this five tips to find a worthy broker:

It is a pretty obvious point, isn’t it? Afterall, you don’t want to give your money at some shady account that could be hacked easily. Make sure your broker complies with high-security standards and provides insurance in case of force-major issues.

Let’s be honest, you are going to be spending A LOT of time behind the screen. So, the logic is plain: trade with a platform that offers you a set of comfortable tools and intuitive design. Better if there is an alternative to go fully mobile, so you trade on the go, even from the beach.

And here we get serious. Transaction costs will certainly play a huge role in your monetary success. So make sure these are adapted to your needs. If you are going to be trading on daily basis, search for brokers offering low spreads. On the contrary, if you trade long term and with a fewer number of positions, then another criteria might be more important.

Customer Support

We all like to receive a good attention, especially when facing some troubles. It can be the platform, an issue with payments, documentation… whatever the case, counting on an excellent customer support that is available 24/7 and speaks your language is a BIG PLUS.

Deposit and Withdrawal of Funds

Two issues. First, when you deposit money, your broker should THANK YOU, not charge you for it. Second, when you want to withdraw your profits, there shouldn’t be any barriers to do it.
