Written by It was a night of fun and fundraising, as XM employees showcased their musical talents to support the work of El Sistema Greece and Sistema Cyprus. Students from Sistema performed at the open mics too, proving how powerful music is in bringing people together. Sistema organisations provide free music instruments and music education to children and young people, including migrants and refugees.
El Sistema and Sistema students learn music by joining orchestras and choirs, playing real instruments, and receiving lessons with professional musicians.
The non-profit’s goal is to build stronger communities by enabling children from marginalised neighbourhoods to grow and thrive as engaged citizens and future leaders. The open mic nights took place on Thursday, June 29th at our offices in Athens, and Thursday July 6th at El Toro, close to our offices in Limassol. Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make this fundraising event a night to remember.
