Worst f'n brokers on the planet. They don't honor their stops and the prices on the live system are way off other brokers. Took me over two weeks to get a redemption from my account. Unacceptable!!!!

I first traded forex with FXCM. After couple of months, I decided to find better brokers. Because FXCM has terrible execution, especially during news release. As big as FXCM is as a retail FX broker, it is ashamed that its trading platform is just so mediocre. A forex trader has enough to deal with that he/she really does not need to worry about poor platform execution or calling in to deal with the dealing desk. I suggest newbies to forget about FXCM and go find a better broker.

I have tried several FX brokers. So far, OANDA is the best. OANDA gives the highest flexibility on contract size suitable for novice and experienced traders. Also, OANDA allows trading of gold and silver. Besides, you also get paid with 4.8% of interest for your account balance.

FXCM has put my account on manual trading after I started trading news profitably.

Not only that, now I'm observing that the manual entry is always disadvantaged by 2 PIPs (thus taking the standard spread on GBPUSD from 5 PIPs to 7 PIPs).

Also, FXCM does not allow me to close the trade at market price if price is moving against them. I get 'Data not found', 'Waiting for dealer', 'Your order didn't execute 'cause price moved' kind of messages, though the FXCM platform keeps on showing the same price..

No point in talking w reps as they've cookie-cutter responses. I was thinking of starting a large account with FXCM, but not now...

If you are new and are trading volatile times, stay away from FXCM

The platform is ok BUT THEY A VERY LIMIT AMOUNT OF ORDERS. They don't even have a trailing order!!
There a much better brokers out there.

I got ACM recomended by a friend of mine who is a professional trader.

I opened a small account with them and they have been very good so far. Good service. Good helpline. Good spread prices (the best in the market) ans still guarentee the fills in all markets.

I recomend it.

I have to say I don't like oanda.

I don't understand the half pip policy, when there is no such thing. They don't have most of important tools such as trailing stops, OCO's etc. And I'm not even going to mention the famous slippage.

Got slipped often. Also in the middle of a news after I was already in they shut the server off. Call several times it was busy called again it then rang and rang I then called again and they answered and then hung up. loss alot by the time I got out. If they would have answered the phone I would have gotten out in the money.
